Polymer absorbent resin (SAP) is a typical functional polymer material, abbreviated as SAP. It can absorb hundreds or even thousands of times its own weight of water and has strong water retention ability, so it is also known as a super absorbent or high water retention agent. The hygiene field is mainly used as raw materials for sanitary napkins and diapers.
In terms of chemical structure, superabsorbent resin is a low cross-linking or partially crystalline polymer with many hydrophilic groups. The hygiene field is mainly used as raw materials for sanitary napkins and diapers.
Precautions for Editing Broadcast
Mixing with villous fibers
In actual production, it is very important whether SAP and fluff fiber are mixed evenly, which is directly related to the size of the product's liquid absorption performance and the uniformity of liquid absorption, and also plays an important role in avoiding gel adhesion and hard spots piercing the surface of the paper web and preventing sliding between layers.
Maintain the dryness of SAP
Before evenly mixing SAP powder and fibers, it is necessary to maintain the dryness of SAP, which directly affects the measurement, transportation, dispersion, and mixing uniformity of SAP and villous fibers.
SAP particle size and pH requirements
When the particle size is 100-120mesh, the absorption capacity is the best; When the pH value is 6-8, the absorption rate is the highest.
SAP with smaller particles may have a negative impact on absorption rate and infiltration, as well as a tendency to block pores.
SAP usage in dust-free paper
The maximum usage of SAP in dust-free paper can reach 55%, and the usage of SAP in dust-free paper is generally determined by the product's purpose. If it is used as the absorption core layer of sanitary napkins and small nursing pads, the content of SAP is 20-25%. If it is used as baby diapers, adult Urinary incontinence products, and agricultural and forestry water conservation products, the amount of SAP is 30-35%.
SAP's requirements for fluffy fibers
It is required that the fluff fiber is soft, high Fill power, thick and long (2.7~3.0mm), low content of fine fiber, good pad integrity, even Reticular fiber, network tension of more than 7N, strong adhesion to SAP, etc. In actual production, models such as GP and NF485 are more suitable for fluffy pulp boards.
